Finally!
Its been a long slog, but worth it... 9 miles in seven days to get finished by the 16th was pretty heavy, but its all done now...
Have had a few days deserved (I think!) rest after that, so its taken me a while to get around to updating this...
I really think I've probably swam further in the last month than I have done in the rest of my life combined... Nutter.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who's sponsored me so far... now I'm concentrating on getting the the rest of the cash up to £3K.
... well, metaphorically anyway...
This is it, the last leg, the final countdown... and all on the last day.
One more mile, one more solitary 40 minute session in the pool and it will all be over...
Bring it on
Not the channel tunnel obviously. That would just be silly.
After a big effort this week (and a sore back) there are only two and a half miles to France, and I need to get there by the end of tomorrow.
3/4 mile done on Tuesday... I couldn't handle the rough seas generated by the aqua aerobics class. They should hook-up a hydro-electric power generator when they have that thing on...
Followed by a serene mile and a half yesterday...
Another 1.5 tonight, then I can put in the last leisurely mile to the coast tomorrow... just in time.
Well, here's hoping...
